Personal finance education is important for everyone. We want to create a population knowledgeable about their finances capable enough to make good decisions which would be considered strong financial management skills.
Africana Studies Framework
Social structures are who we are to others, governance is who we are to each other, and systems of thought and science and technology are how we know. Movement and memory is how we remember while cultural meaning-making is what gives meaning to things.
Civics Engagement
This is a practical first-hand approach to learning how our government and society works. Students will learn by working together on research projects, discovering problems in the community, finding potential solutions through policymaking.
Emergency Management
Develop the ability to participate in emergency operations planning. Prepare communities with necessary information on pre-event planning, forming a planning team, event hazard analysis, and responding to incidents in their community.
Mental Health
Our strongest defense from white supremacy is a strong mind and self-image. Foundational education on key concepts such as self image, self worth, and trauma will help guide our
community towards inner strength to preserve on our healing journey from the toll of living while Black in America.
Entrepreneur Thinking
Collaborate with a team to find and apply the cycle of experimentation to find solutions to complex problems. Learn to speak confidently and persuasively, and leverage curiosity and creativity to drive solutions.
Family & Group Economics
It's important to create alternative economies within our communities with businesses that are for us. We must circulate our dollars in our own communities. Building businesses that we dominate as consumers is critical to our survival.
Healthy Eating & Farming
We're devoted to teaching all aspects of the food system so that you can make healthy decisions. Our youth will be able to make decisions that are good for them, their families and communities.
Personal & Group Defense
Practical mental, physical and cyber defense is critical to our success and survival. We must have the ability to defend ourselves and our communities. We must train against these algorithms and prepare for any mental or physical warfare.
